Will's story
''My name is Will Goold and I am 20 years old. I am currently an apprentice at West London
College. Last year I was on the Hammersmith and Fulham /Loreal supported internship scheme. The main objective of the scheme was to get paid work. As part of this scheme I worked for Nandos.
The staff at Nandos Hammersmith were very supportive. They welcomed me and encouraged me, I felt valued and treated like a proper employee. My Job Coach Louisa guided me in my work role then reduced the guidance as my confidence and skills grew, my teacher Rachel, helped me with my social awareness and personal development. Whilst at Nandos I developed skills and knowledge needed in the workplace, and in fact I achieved paid employment and was offered paid employment by Nandos Chiswick.
My experiences on the internship, gaining paid employment and now on the apprenticeship have made me develop a real sense of responsibility not just at work but in my personal life as well.''
