TRAINING
PROGRAMME
THIS COURSE IS FOR 18-26 YEAR OLDS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES AND AUTISM WHO ARE JOB-READY AND TRAVEL-READY
This is an opportunity to gain real-life work experience and become an expert cafe assistant before being placed in a full time paid mainstream cafe.

WHAT IS A TRAINING PROGRAMME?
Our training programme is a work experience for young people whose preference is to find a job in the hospitality industry but who lack the skills, experience or behaviours sought by employers.
It's best to think of a traineeship as preparation for the working world. Unlike a job, it's a programme of learning and skills development. Our programme is focused, with a direct line of sight to employment.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TRAINING PROGRAMME?
Following the 11-month training programme, we support our trainee by finding them appropriate position in mainstream employment. We continue supporting our trainees for their first 6 months in their new job, with a Job Coach and the Fair Shot team.
